I was lucky enough to be sent a copy of 'The Hermit', which is a debut Nordic Noir novel by Thomas Rydahl, by Real Readers / The Nudge to read & review for free. It is a spooky book & at times a little horrifying & well worth a look at if you like murder mysteries. It is set in the Canary Islands so if you are off on holiday there maybe it would be a good book to take with you.
The main character is an alienated & ageing Danish taxi driver
called Erhard who lives on the Spanish island of Fuerteventura. Erhard
feels a sense of outrage & anger when he stumbles upon the scene of a
terrible crime marring one of the islands tourist beaches. He
is determined to discover what actually happened on the beach especially when he
finds out the local police seem to be trying to cover up the crime in
order to keep the tourist euros rolling in. From there the twists &
turns in the book keep on coming & I was unable to guess how the
story would end.
The main thing I noticed is that compared to some other books in a
similar vein this one is very well written indeed and that explains why,
even though this is a debut novel, it won the Danish debutant award
(the first thriller ever to win it) and the prestigious Glass Key Award
for the best Nordic crime novel.
This book is impossible to put down & your interest in the story
will just grow & grow the more you read, I really don't want give you any spoilers
as the book is far to good for that so you
will have to just go & read it yourself. You won't regret it as I
think Thomas Rydahl is going to become a lot of peoples favourite author
very soon.

Loving Libbie
This is going to be the first post in my brand new blog & to start with I thought I would tell everybody about Libbie Club which I think is just fabulous.
Basically you pay a one off fee & then you will be sent a box of lovely beauty goodies to keep that you try & review. You need to sell at least one item a month & then you will be sent the next months box of beauty treats without having to pay anything more. You can blog about the box contents, spread the word on Twitter & Facebook or even just tell your friends about them.
All the beauty items I have had from Libbie Club in the past year or so have been fantastic & they are always gorgeous high end brands like Paul Yacomine or La Montana.
This is a great time to Join the Libbie Club because in my opinion the October 2016 box is the best ever (more about that in another post).
If you are interested or simply want to take a look pop over to their website here http://www.libbie.club/ You wont be sorry!
